Team Leader – Supported Accommodation (Young People)
We are recruiting a confident, values-led Team Leader to lead a frontline service supporting young people in a supported accommodation setting. This is a genuine leadership role, combining operational oversight, people management, and hands-on practice, with real responsibility for standards, culture, and outcomes.
You will work closely with a senior manager to oversee day-to-day service delivery, develop a team of Support Workers, and ensure young people receive high-quality, person-centred support that helps them build independence and move towards positive, sustainable futures.

You will be trusted to use your professional judgement, escalate concerns appropriately, and contribute to continuous service improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and model high standards of practice across the service
- Create and sustain a positive, inclusive team culture
- Line manage Support Workers through regular supervision, coaching, and feedback
- Support recruitment, induction, and development of staff
- Hold a small caseload, delivering high-quality, person-centred support and keywork
- Ensure support plans, risk assessments, and case records are accurate and up to date
- Monitor service performance and ensure key outcomes and targets are met
- Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents, and risk in line with policy and best practice
- Work collaboratively with external agencies including health, social care, and statutory partners
- Promote tenancy sustainment, positive behaviour, and effective rent account management
- Uphold health & safety, safeguarding, and organisational policies at all times
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota when required

Essential:
- Experience supporting vulnerable young people or adults in supported housing, homelessness, or similar services
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading staff
- Strong organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
- Confidence managing safeguarding, risk, and challenging behaviour
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Desirable:
- Experience working with young people in supported accommodation
- Knowledge of safeguarding frameworks, benefits systems, and tenancy management
- Relevant qualification or willingness to work towards a leadership-related qualification
