Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications
Salary: £55,000 gross per annum
Contract type: Permanent, 21 or 28 hours per week
Location: London - office or hybrid working, with a minimum of 40% of contracted hours based in the London office

At a time when health inequality continues to widen, the People’s Health Trust is focused on shifting power and resources to communities experiencing the greatest disadvantage, supporting over 600 local partners and using its evidence and learning to influence decision-makers to create lasting, systemic change.
The role
The Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications position is crucial to the Trust’s future work. Reporting to the Director of Programmes and Influencing (Deputy CEO), you will lead the development and delivery of integrated marketing and communications strategies that engage policy, business and funding audiences, strengthen reputation, and inspire action.
You will oversee media relations, digital engagement, campaigns, thought leadership, brand management and audience engagement, ensuring the Trust communicates with clarity, credibility and impact.
This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape organisational influence at a pivotal time for health equity across the UK.
About You
We are looking for an experienced communications and brand leader with a strong commitment to social justice and equity.
You will bring:
- Significant experience delivering integrated marketing and communications strategies
- Strong media and reputation management expertise, including crisis communications
- Experience building impactful cause-led campaigns and brand narratives
- Excellent understanding of digital engagement, audience insight and content strategy
- Experience supporting fundraising, partnerships or income-generation activity
- Strong understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion and its relationship to health inequalities
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on and collaborative
- CIM or CIPHR qualification is desirable but not essential; candidates with equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience in charity, the public sector, health, social justice, or purpose-led environments would be highly beneficial.
